TEBS Choir won 3 awards at the Praga Cantant Festival

BANDUNG TEL-U- The departure of the Telkom University TEBS Choir to Praga Czechoslovakia wasn’t in vain. With pride, they took home 3 (three) awards at once, namely the Silver Medal for the Mix category, Gold Medal for Folklore and Best Choreography in the 2013 Praga Cantant competition.

For 27 years the Praga Cantat Festival has been a prestigious international choir event. More than 700 choir teams have performed on the Praga Cantat stage, and more than 35 countries attend the festival annually. And this year, as many as 35 Telkom University Business Telkom (TEBS) students have carved achievements in the international arena and made the nation proud, at the Cantat Bohemian Festival Praga which took place on Thursday (31/10/2013) -Week (3/11 / 2013) yesterday.

“We have practiced a lot and prepared ourselves for the appearance of Telkom University TEBS Choir at the Praga Cantat Bohemian Festival,” said Ines Janan Shabira, TEBS Tel-U Communication Science student who is the Chairperson of the Tel-U TEBS Choir Foreign Festival.

According to Ines, not just any choir can appear and compete there. There are several considerations from the organizers to display the choir on the show. Usually, the organizers find out themselves about the background of the choir group that will appear. TEBS Choir was previously the second winner at the Busan Choral Festival and Competition in South Korea- KOMPRO
