The 2015 ICoICT facilitates Disabled People to Use the Application

Bandung, SOC – Wednesday, May 27-29, 2015, the International Conference on Communication and Information Technology (ICoICT) was held again. This conference is the third time organized by the School of Computing, Telkom University, and Bali is the city chosen in its implementation.

“We chose Bali, after being held two times in the city of Bandung, because Bali is a tourist city that is very famous in the world. The aim is to provide more experience to participants in participating in the ICoICT, “said Dana, the 2015 General Chair of the ICoICT.

The theme of the 2015 ICoICT is “Smart ICT for Daily Life.”

According to Dana, the theme this time is trying to explore how everyday applications have smart functions and are also easy to use according to user conditions, including those for disabled people.

“The committee received 112 papers from 15 countries including Asia, Europe, and America,” he continued.

During the event, participants participated in discussions and focus group discussions (FGD) along with two familiar keynote speakers. They are Prof. Mike Wald and Prof. Kouichi Sakurai. Prof. Kouichi Sakurai gave a speech about “New infrastructure and applications developed from a BITCOIN cryptocurrency and an ETHEREUM platform” while Prof. Mike Wald gave a speech about “Accessible smart ICT for Daily Life.”

On that occasion also attended Director of Network Telkom, Abdus Somad Arief, Chancellor of Telkom University, Prof. Mochamad Ashari, Director of PPM, Dr. Palti Sitorus, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and Coordinator of Transformation Management, Dr. Husni Amani.
