Telkom University Informatics Student Wins 2019 Hackaton Genius Runner-Up
The Telkom University Informatics student team won the runner-up of the 2019 Jenius Hackaton competition. It was Raihan Hamid Suraperwata, a Bachelor of Informatics Engineering student with 4 friends from Gadjah Mada University with a chatbot application product.
“The application that my team created is a chatbot, which is an application to help young people invest. Young people are usually confused for investment, later with chatbots, they only need to chat then can save money and connect directly to Jenius, “explained Raihan
The stages of the competition they participated in began with the selection of application ideas based on innovative ideas, concepts, creativity, application design, added value, and benefits for both users and the wider community. In the application phase, 30 teams will be selected to qualify for the final round. In this round, each team is given 24 hours to do coding to make the product according to the proposal that has been submitted.
“On the D-day, we come with a laptop that has no program, then it is processed all day making programs, coding and the next day it is presented to the jury,” continued Raihan.
Jenius Hackaton 2019 is a competition to challenge developers in Indonesia in making various solutions in the form of financial applications that can be implemented easily in the next one to two years. The theme carried by Jenius Hackaton this time is “Innovation & Customer Focus” which took place February 23-24 2019 at the BTPN Tower.
