New Student Welcome Party 2015 – Love Indonesia Love Informatics
Bandung, SOC – About 700 new students from the Telkom University School of Computing celebrated the Welcome Party (WP) in the parking area between E Building and F Building on Wednesday (08/08/2015).
The WP this time coincides with the celebration of the 70th Indonesian Independence Day, August 17th. With the theme Love Indonesia Love Informatika, The Faculty of Informatics participated in enlivening independence with various competitions starting from the gobak sodor, euleur walk, and touring the Faculty of Informatics which was attended by all new students.
In addition to the game, there is also a Ranking One game at the beginning of the event to heat the atmosphere in the morning. The event continued with a speech from the Dean of the School of Computing, Dr. Maman Abdurohman. In his remarks, Dr. Maman socialized the School of Computing’s vision and mission to become a world-class school of computing that plays an active role in the development of science in computing, information technology-based in 2018.
“In 2018, the School of Computing aspires to become a world-class Faculty in the field of information technology-based computing,” Dr. Maman.
“And this student acceptance is one of the processes to reach that direction,” he continued.
The program then continued with the introduction of the School of Computing lecturers and staff as well as the set. The last event was closed with the release of lanterns in Situ Tekno.-LEN
