Telkom University Informatics Engineering S1 Student Association (HIMA IF) was formerly known as the IT Telkom Informatics Student Association before undergoing a structural change in 2014. The change from HMIF to HIMA IF was caused by the transformation process of IT Telkom to Telkom University. HMIF is an association that accommodates S1 and D3 Informatics Engineering students but after the transformation process, HMIF is divided into 2 : HIMADIF and HIMA IF. This happened because there was a separation of faculties between S1 Informatics Engineering and D3 Informatics Engineering and based on the results of the Telkom Universiti student congress which forced each student association to consist of 1 study program.

HIMA IF was formed at the end of 2014 at the Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Student Conference. HIMA IF is a forum for Informatics Engineering undergraduate students to be creative, innovate and develop their interests and talents, especially in the field of informatics engineering.

HIMA IF has a goal to create Informatics Engineering S1 Study Program students who are faithful and pious, independent and honest in attitude, global perspective who have strategic competencies for the formation of students who are highly intellectual and responsible, able to work together and develop themselves both scientifically and socially.
