Accreditation Visitation for Informatics Engineering Study Program
Bandung, SOC – Monday (08/10/2015), located in the meeting room of the 3rd floor Panambulai building, the School of Computing received the arrival of the Assessor Team of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education consisting of Dr. Ir. Albertus Joko Santoso, MT. from Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University and Dr. Ir. Rd. Hari Ginardi, MSc. from the Surabaya Institute of Technology.
That day a visit to the accreditation of the Informatics Engineering S1 study program will be held. The event which began at 8:00 a.m. took place smoothly, without significant obstacles. The first stage was conducted by field visitations by the two assessors and then continued with the accreditation assessment.
One of the School of Computing lecturers, Ari M. Barmawi, Ph.D., said that this time the visitation went smoothly. “All processes run smoothly, hopefully getting maximum results as expected, which is A.” In line with this, Dr. Hari, one of the assessors, also said that “Telkom University is a university that is already in the top ranks.”
Accreditation is an assessment of the Institution as a whole to determine the Institutional commitment to academic and management implementation in the standards set. Whereas, visitations are conducted to review the facilities and infrastructure on campus which are part of one of the standards of the accreditation process and then conduct an assessment of accreditation that must be fulfilled and evaluate the implementation of the assessment.
The things assessed in the accreditation process are university governance, both in terms of finance, academics, human resources, facilities, and infrastructure. The National Accreditation Board of Higher Education conducts classification assessments for all of these criteria based on 3 aspects, namely quality (50%), efficiency (25%), and relevance (25%).
