Welcome Party 2014 School of Computing (SoC)

Bandung, SOC – Saturday morning (09/08/2014) as many as 410 new students of the School of Computing Telkom University held a welcome party activity (welcoming of new students) at the Faculty of Information Technology Dean Field. This is the first time the School of Computing has held a Welcome Party. Previously, the Welcome Party was held under the banner of the Faculty of Engineering, Telkom University.

The Welcome Party, which runs from 08.00 to 15.00, takes place lively. The event initiated by the School of Computing managed to amaze new students of the School of Computing. “The program is exciting, not boring,” said Fitri, one of the new students of the School of Computing. “Great, cool, funny,” Ahmad replied.

In the Welcome Party, chaired by Chess Wirawan Wijiutomo, in this event, several fun games were made, and one of them was a competition to make website displays from used newspapers made in several groups. In this competition, all new students provide their best creativity. The judges consisting of the Dean of the School of Computing were amazed by the results given. Finally, with difficulty, the Judge can determine the winner of the group and present various kinds of gifts to them.

The program then continued with “JAZZY TIME” at the Multi-purpose Building. In the event the School of Computing profile video was played, the introduction of lecturers and also the introduction of the campus. Also attending the event Dr. Heroe Wijanto as Vice Chancellor for Academic and Information Systems of Telkom University, Dr. Maman Abdurohman as Dean of the School of Computing, Dr. Adiwijaya as Vice Dean 1 of the School of Computing, Rimba Whidiana Ciptasari, Ph.D as Vice Dean 2 of the School of Computing, Ph.D. along with Lecturers and Employees of the School of Computing. – LEN
