The School of Computing, Telkom University held a Video Editing Training for Students of Vocational High School 10 Bandung
Vocational High School 10 Bandung is one of the schools chosen to carry out revitalization. One consequence is the holding of a 4-year program competency skill. In the 2017-2018 school year, expertise in Film Production and Television Programs was held under the Broadcasting Arts and Film expertise program. 4-year program students are required to be able to produce films. One of the competencies that support this is video editing capabilities. Unfortunately, learning video editing experiences obstacles due to lack of equipment, educators, and learning resources. The solution is to be proposed the video editing training for students of Vocational High School 10 Bandung with adequate equipment, educators, and resources carried out at the Multimedia Lab at Telkom University.
The material taught in this training starts from the basic things in video editing such as connecting two videos, doing fast and slow motion, repairing poor images, entering background sound, adjusting exposure, contrast, and saturation, making anamorphic, rendering videos, video transitions, layering, adjustment layer, and warp stabilizer. After knowing the basic video editing students were asked to make a simple video, which was their work. The video produced by 10th Vocational High School students can be seen below.
