The Proclub Team Successfully Won the Hackaton Merdeka 2.0 Bandung

The Proclub Telkom University team consisting of Nanda Budi Prayoga, David, Reza Stalon, and Bagus Cahyono won the overall championship at the Hackaton Merdeka 2.0 Bandung event. Of the 8 teams sent by Telkom University, 5 of them managed to enter the top 10.

Hackaton Merdeka is an initiative to initiate a large Code4Nation movement as a form of utilization of information technology to solve national problems. Code4nation.id is expected to be an existing unifying movement so that more talents in Indonesia care and want to join in doing an excellent collaboration to help the government and society. Many campaigns have been carried out, such as kawalpemilu.org, kawalmenteri.org, kawalpemilukada.org, etc.

Hackaton Merdeka 2.0 was held simultaneously in 28 cities in Indonesia and 1 major city in Australia. The event lasted for 2 days from October 24-25 2015 with the theme Population and smoke problems which are now in the spotlight.

The applications promoted by Tim Proclub are Mobile Posyandu and Soulmate (Solutions for People Through Mobile Apps Technology). The team managed to wipe out all categories with population themes. While for the smoke category fell on the Team from the Bandung Institute of Technology with the application “Bantu Asap.”

All winning teams will be invited to present their work in front of the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo at the commemoration of the Youth Oath Day on 28 October 2015. –LEN
