Telkom University Informatics Students Won 1st Place “RESPECTACULAR: UNPAD Hackathon Weekend” 2019
Saturday, March 23, 2019, 3 students of the Faculty of Informatics Telkom University Bandung won 1st place in the RESPECTACULAR event: UNPAD Hackathon Weekend in collaboration between The NextDev Telkomsel and Universitas Padjajaran. They are Tri Broto Siswoyo, Tengku Muhammad Risky, and Malik Anhar Maulana.
The event entitled “Innovations in Career Development” was held to facilitate collaboration between digital technology players and application developers in developing new digital products that could be innovative solutions in the field of career development.
RESPECTACULAR: UNPAD Hackathon Weekend lasts for two days. The first day, 100 participants with various skills were divided into 10 groups to create collaboration in building digital products to the prototype stage or minimum viable product (MVP). During the activity, the participants received teaching, guidance, and consultation with several expert mentors in the digital creative industries such as Inagri CEO Muhammad Shiddiq Azis, iGrow CEO Andreas Senjaya, and Kejora Ventures Investment Officer Emil Reven. On the second day, each group presented a prototype or MVP that they created to a jury consisting of expert mentors, as well as representatives of UNPAD and Telkomsel management.
The winner of the UNPAD Hackathon Weekend is determined based on several assessment criteria, ranging from the innovation of ideas and concepts, creativity and application design, added value or benefits to users, use of technology, benefits for the academic community, and potential application implementation within the next 1-2 years.
