Students from Computing Science the School of Computing Achieve Bronze Medal

Bandung, SOC Two School of Computing students from Computing Science Major, Makoto Daiwa and Bayu Akbar Raja Husain won bronze medals in the Mathematical Analysis and Geometry Competition (MagD IX) on 23/04/2016. The event organized by Analysis and Geometry of the Research Division of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bandung Institute of Technology was attended by 162 students in 81 teams from 29 Universities in Java and Sumatra.

MagD is an annual student competition in the fields of analysis and geometry. This competition has been held since 2008. The MagD competition is conducted in 2 stages. The first stage of the preliminary round is in the form of a written test that is followed by all participants individually. The second stage, solving a problem and presenting it before the jury and the audience for the five best teams cumulatively. Exiting as a winner this year is the Team from the Bandung Institute of Technology, and the University of Indonesia Team.
