Maritime Cooperation of the School of Computing with the Center for Research and Development of Marine and Coastal Resources of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs
The Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Center of the KP-KPP Research and Development Agency came to visit the School of Computing, Telkom University on Monday (12/05/2016). The purpose of his arrival is to establish and enhance cooperation in the field of maritime affairs.
The Center for Research and Development of Marine and Coastal Resources represented by Dr.-Ing. Semeidi Husrin, ST., MSc. Explained that this collaboration would support Indonesia’s vision as a world maritime axis. Therefore cooperation with educational institutions is necessary. Just mention the collaboration between Dr. Didit Adytia, one of the lecturers at the School of Computing, and the Research and Development Center for Marine and Coastal Resources on reducing the impact of coastal damage to mangrove forests through numerical modeling.
In line with this, representatives of Telkom University, Dr. Adiwijaya In his speech, said that it would increase the level of cooperation by making a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions shortly.
“Given the great potential in advancing the national maritime field, soon it will be increased to a higher level by making a memorandum of understanding,” he said.
Finally, the visit of the Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Center this time was closed with a public lecture on maritime research to the Telkom University School of Computing students.
