Bachelor of Information Technology Achieves “B” Accreditation from the Board of National Accreditation for Higher Education
The Bachelor of Information Technology Major has just been established for not more than 3 years old. However, at a relatively young age, the Major succeeded in achieving “B” accreditation from the Board of National Accreditation for Higher Education following their Decree No. 1637 / SK / BAN-PT / Accreditation / S / V / 2019 concerning Accreditation and Ranking of University Accreditation Status on 21 May 2019.
In his remarks, the Dean of the School of Computing, Dr. Maman Abdurohman expressed his gratitude for the success of the accreditation team, especially the Chairman of the Bachelor of Information Technology Major, Mr. Endro Ariyanto.
“We as the leaders of the Faculty express our gratitude for this achievement, and indeed we admit that this is far above the target set by the Faculty, considering that the Major has just been established,” said Dr. Maman.
“We thank the Head of the Bachelor of Information Technology Major, Mr. Endro Ariyanto for his hard work with the team for the achievement of optimal results,” he continued.
He explained that in the future, the records of existing improvements will soon be corrected and continuously improved.
“All records obtained during yesterday’s visitation were good advice so that they need to be immediately corrected and improved.”
“Moreover, we also strive for maximum improvement both in terms of research, community service, curriculum, and cooperation,” concluded Dr. Maman.
Accreditation is evidence of quality assurance in the implementation of education. In Indonesia accreditation is carried out by the Board of National Accreditation for Higher Education, which is an independent non-structural institution that acts as a technical implementer in the field and is responsible to the Minister of National Education as a regulator. The process of granting accreditation is conducted every five years.
