Accreditation of Computational Sciences Study Program, School of Computing
Bandung, SOC – August 27-29 2014 was a historic day for the School of Computing and Computational Sciences Major. Because on that date is the date on which the first visitation took place since the joining of the Computational Science Major to the School of Computing. Two assessors consisting of Ms. Aniati Murni, Prof., Dr. M.Sc., and Mr. Adang Suhendra, Dr., Ir., M.Sc. arrived in Bandung on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 night. Then, Followed by dinner with Telkom University Leaders and the School of Computing. Also attending the dinner was the Chancellor of Telkom University, Prof. Moch. Ashari, Vice Chancellor 1 Mr. Heroe Wijanto, Vice Chancellor III Mr. Achmad Mansyur Ali Suyanto, DBA., and Deputy Chancellor IV, Dr. M. Yahya Arwiyah along with the Dean of the School of Computing, Mr. Dr. Maman Abdurohman, Vice Dean 1, Dr. Adiwijaya, and Vice Dean 2 Ms. Rimba W. Ciptasari, Ph.D.
On the same day, all lecturers and staff of the School of Computing did a preparatory rehearsal visitation of the Bachelor of Computational Sciences. A rehearsal was conducted at the School of Computing Meeting Room by doing a simulation. In the simulation of the Dean of the School of Computing, Mr. Maman Abdurohman positioned himself as an Assessor and conducted a discussion test on the Accreditation Form. The discussion is carried out points per point, by giving input what files are incomplete and must be prepared.
The next day, August 27, 2014, at 08.00 in the morning, the visitation ceremony for the Accreditation of the Bachelor of Computing Science School of Computing began. The event which took place in the 1st Floor of the School of Computing Meeting Room D Building went very well. From the schedule initially planned for 3 days, it turns out that it can be completed in 1 full day. “If today’s visitation runs smoothly, then the program which was originally scheduled for 3 days will be packed into 1 day, but it is likely to last at night,” Ani explained.
The event began with a discussion of the Faculty of Information presentation presented by Mr. Dr. Maman Abdurohman. Then proceed with a discussion of Institution Forms. During the day the Assessors visit the Lecturer Room, Classroom and Laboratory. After discussion of the Major Form. Finally, at around 7:00 p.m., the visitation program was finished. Hopefully, the results of the assessment will be following the expectations of the entire academic community. “This visitation is expected to provide the best for study programs and be able to improve the quality of education and the quality of learning in the School of Computing, Telkom University, close Ani.
