Distance Education Program for Bachelor of Informatics Study Program
Preliminary
The Distance Education System, which is perceived as a 21st-century innovation, is an education system that has a wide range, across space, time, and socioeconomics. The Distance Education System opens access to education for anyone, anywhere, anytime. With these characteristics, the Distance Education system can be used as a solution to various educational problems, especially those related to the even distribution and democratization of education, as well as expanding access to quality education to all levels of society, which contributes to the increase in Higher Education Gross Participation Rates.
Through various legal instruments that have been issued by the government, among others, the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 51 of 2018 concerning Establishment, Amendment, Dissolution of State Universities, and Establishment, Amendments, Revocation of Private University Licenses, Ministerial Regulations Education and Culture Number 109 of 2013 concerning the Implementation of Distance Education in Higher Education, Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning National Education System, Government Regulation Number 17 of 2010 concerning Management and Implementation of Education which was later amended by Government Regulation Number 66 Year 2010, and Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, the Distance Education system has become an integral part of the world of education in Indonesia, and has become the choice for the community to gain access to education. This situation opens opportunities and opportunities for various higher education institutions to participate in distance education actively.
Telkom University as a higher education institution that is determined to work together to build the country in increasing the Higher Education Gross Participation Rate through the implementation of distance education for the Informatics Study Program of Bachelor Programs that have obtained operational permits according to Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Decree Number 472 / KPT / I / 2019.
Distance Education is a teaching and learning process carried out remotely through the use of various communication media. The Distance Education Study Program is a Study Program held in the form of Distance Education at tertiary institutions that already have establishment permits. (Regulation of the Minister of Research and Technology of Higher Education Number 51 of 2018)
The implementation of Informatics Distance Education Study Program is separate with a Regular Informatics Study Program. However, the Informatics Distance Education study program has the same curriculum and learning outcomes as the regular Informatics Study Program, the difference is the learning method.
In the implementation of Distance Education, Telkom University provides a Distance Learning Center which is currently available and has been licensed in the city of Makassar.
The Distance Learning Center is a functional unit under the management of universities that serves to provide service support to meet learning needs, practice, practicum, supervised examinations, and / or tutorials for students who are geographically accessible to students.

Learning Methods
Learning in the Distance Learning Study Program applies the student-centered learning method, which is held by:
- Study independently, structured, and guided through a Learning Management System managed by Telkom University and can be accessed anywhere and anytime;
- Using Teaching Materials in digital form combined with other Teaching Materials in various forms, formats, media, and sources;
- The interaction of information and communication technology-based learning even though it is still possible to have limited face-to-face learning.
- Use Learning Resources at a Distance Learning Center;
Besides, learning in the Informatics Distance Education Study Program is carried out through practicum, which is held by a. Face to face and / or assisted by technology; b. Structured; c. scheduled; and D. guided

- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- 1 work certificate (for those who have worked)

- Registration period for prospective students: 26 July – 14 September 2019
- Announcement of New Student Admissions: 18 September 2019
- Registration & PKKMB (Campus Orientation and Introduction): 30 September – 5 October 2019
- Start Lecture: October 7, 2019
