THE STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPENT OF THE FACULTY OF INFORMATICS
Milestone for achieving the Vision of the Faculty of Informatics 2023
The Strategic Plan for the development of the Faculty of Informatics for 2019-2023 is aimed at bringing and realizing the Faculty of Informatics into a research and entrepreneurial faculty that plays an active role in the development of information technology-based computing science in 2023 with five stages and focus of activities which include:
- 2019: Digital learning excellence, focused on digitizing learning materials . This condition is achieved through an online teaching material development program with a continuous CeLoe (Center for E-learning and Open Education) system,
- 2020: International Academic Excellence, focused on improving the quality of the learning process and internationalizing education . The preparation of a new international standard curriculum accompanied by the development of learning methods is the key word in this stage. Through this stage, it is targeted that there will be an increase in foreign students, student exchanges and various collaborations with foreign universities (especially in the field of learning).
- 2021: International Research Excellence, focused on building International research Collaborations. To realize this, various activities are carried out to improve the quality and talent of the academic community in the field of Research. With adequate Human Resources, the Faculty of Informatics can strengthen research networks through joint research activities with international institutions,
- 2022: Entrepreneurial Culture Excellence , focused on developing entrepreneurship among students and lecturers. Researches within the faculty are able to produce TRL > 6, so that the quantity of downstreaming and commercialization of research products is increasing. Thus, the products resulting from this research can encourage more startups to be formed.
- 2023: Research and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Excellence, focused on developing an ecosystem to support the achievement of indicators of an entrepreneurial university , at the faculty level. Elements in the ecosystem here include students, lecturers, industry, government as well as entrepreneurial hubs at both national and international levels. At this stage, the faculty has produced many intellectual property rights, startups, as well as several spin-offs and industrial licenses. In addition, the success of this stage can be demonstrated by the number of alumni who become entrepreneurs at the national and international levels.
