MINUTES OF MEETING

The Internet of Things (IoT) represents the future technology trend of sensing, computing, and communication. IoT refers to the emerging trend of augmenting physical objects and devices with sensing, computing and communications capabilities, connecting then to form a network and making use of the collective effect of the networked object. This next-generation Internet will promote harmonious interaction among humans, computers and things. Unfortunately, high level-knowledge cannot be obtained directly from IoT devices, instead it is derived indirectly from raw sensing data using advanced data mining and machine learning techniques. Wireless Network including MANET and VANET take roles as a bridge between the computing environment and the users (humans). Scenarios of implementing the concept of IoT have been reported by research conducted around the world. In this occasion, we will present our current development on a Smart Home model and the Near Field Communication (NFC) applications such as smart poster, as proof of IoT concept.
