Communication and Information Service Application Competition

Preliminary:

The city of Bandung is a city that develops very fast in almost all fields. People living in the area of ​​Bandung are very heterogeneous and have high demands for service standards. The Bandung City Government is aware of this, and since 2014, the Bandung City Government has determined the use of Information Technology infrastructure as a key to improving the quality of services to the public.

In commemoration of the anniversary of Bandung, which fell on September 24, 2014, Communication and Information Service of Bandung City in collaboration with Telkom University and the Bandung Institute of Technology held an Application Competition with the theme Bandung Champion . It is expected that the applications that emerge in this competition can bring many benefits to public services, government business processes in the city of Bandung and to preserve local culture. Thus, these applications can make Bandung become Champion in Indonesia in service to the public.

 

Competition Requirements:

  1. The application’s copyright remains with the application maker
  2. Contestants :
      High School Students or College Students in the City of Bandung
      Community with Bandung City ID Card
  3. The proposal is sent to panitiajuara@bandung.go.id no later than September 10, 2014 at 23:00 West Indonesia Time
  4. The proposal has a maximum size of 5MB.
  5. The work must be original and has never been included or published in other competitions before.
  6. The end result is a web or desktop based application or a ready-to-use mobile or educational game (not prototype / prototype ).
  7. Participants may only send one work either as an individual or a group.

 

Proposal Format:

  1. Participant Identity (Name, Institution / College / School of Origin, Job, photo, and Identity card)
  2. Introduction (Background to the Problem, Purpose)
  3. System / Game Proposal Description
  4. Offered Application Features / Gameplay Scenarios.
  5. Proposal workmanship stages

Application Criteria:

Theme: Bandung Champion. Applications that are contested must be useful for public services, support the business processes in the Bandung City Government environment, or contain local cultural content.

Product:

  1. Applications (executables or installer packages or web)
  2. Brief description (screenshoot, user manual, development environment)
  3. May use platform/programming languages/libraries (Java Adobe Flash, PHP, Microsoft .NET, Mobile Toolkit, Android, etc.) freely, but must be portable, can be installed easily on Microsoft Windows (XP SP3 32 bit / Windows 7 32 and 64 bit / Windows 8).

  1. Proposal sent to panitiajuara@bandung.go.id
  2. The proposal has a maximum size of 5MB.

 

Important Date:

  1. Registration and submission of proposals: September 2-10 2014
  2. Selection of proposals 11 and 12 September 2014
  3. Submit a prototype no later than Sept. 22, 2014
  4. Determination of the 8 best prototypes September 22-24 2014
  5. Submit finished Application / Final Result: October 13, 2014
  6. Judging the best 10 for the semifinals: October 16, 2014
  7. Final Judging: October 23, 2014
  8. Winner Announcement: October 28, 2014

Reward:

  • 1st Place : 20 million
  • 2nd Place : 15 million
  • 3rd : 10 million
  • Favorite application: 5 million + mobile phone
